Alumni enthusiasm in Paris
On April 6th, what had been intended as a small informal gathering of alumni in Paris spiralled as almost 50 Durham graduates and friends descended on Carr's Restaurant.

Organiser Mike Wrigley said that the success of the evening was, "basically down to the fact that they're a really super bunch of people. I was personally very touched by the atmosphere on the evening. Durham must have given us something special!" Plans are already underway for the next gathering, and the enthusiastic alumni base in Paris has warranted its inclusion in the University's series of international celebratory events to mark its anniversary. It is hoped that a special event to be attended by the Vice-Chancellor and special guests will be held in Paris at the end of January. Newswire readers will be notified well in advance of these dates. In the meantime, Mike would be delighted to hear from anyone interested in alumni activity in France. Mike can be contacted at michael.wrigley@dunelm.org.uk
