Idle Contemplation from my Bedroom Window
by Roland

I was standing at my bedroom staring out of the window thinking about one of these odd seemingly inconsequential coincidences that regularly take place around Ya’Acov.

The previous day I had been listening to a programme about the writer and comedian Alan Coren, who has recently died. A friend of his was relating how Alan had spent much of his time sitting at home staring out the window apparently doing very little, but that was how he got many of his best ideas and inspirations. At that moment the phone rang. It was Ya’Acov.

Spirit of the Earth
by Ya'Acov

Sensitivity and strength, just like acceptance and intention, seem to be two extremes on a continuum. I am fascinated by these polarities in all areas of life, not least our Movement Medicine practice.

I’ve been reading Anastasia: The Ringing Cedars of Russia series by Vladimir Megre. In a series of eight books (and I’m only on book 3), the author tells the story and delivers the teachings of an extraordinary young woman called Anastasia who lives in the wild Taiga of Siberia. She’s quite a character and her teachings are direct and timely.

Gratitude
by Susannah

Walking in the sunlit woods this morning, the leaves alight and falling in their wild beauty, I feel the poignancy, the bittersweet tang of change. I send gratitude to all my teachers, to all those who have danced with us and to all those who will. I turn and acknowledge the lineages of teaching of which I am part, to those behind me and those in front of me. I give thanks for all the love I receive and all the love I can give. Whatever your place within the web that connects us all, I hope you are happy. I hope you are having a wonderful autumn, following your dreams and enjoying the dance of life that is here right now.

For All Our Relations
by Tina Foss

In Oslo september 07

Dancing for all our relations was an expanding experience, also focusing on the Sikuani tribe in Mexico, people who needs our heart and money support.

Dancing the inner and the outer landscape. Dancing mother earth; mountains, desserts, animals, trees, flowers, dancing the ocean heavy and wild, dancing wind and fire...and streching for ligth touching the sky with my heart.

Fundamentals of Movement Medicine
by Susannah

A dancer told me recently that when we had done a bit of “mind” work she had become aware that as she danced, every now and again she was telling herself how disgusting her body was, how she was fat, etc etc. She said that until she had been invited to witness how she thought about her body she had not actually noticed that there was this self-annihilating critic muttering away in the background. She had become accustomed and numb to it. When she realised what she was saying to herself, she gave herself a new vantage point. She became a witness to her mind.

Feedback Initiation 2007
This month's winner of £100 School of Movement Medicine workshop voucher

by Matija Milostnik

I heard of the Initiation at the beginning of the year, and I felt it was a great workshop to attend, but since I was told that it was a very popular workshop, thus being always full I somehow assumed that it was always full. The day Saša told us that she has registered herself on the workshop I simply acknowledged it and registered myself for the Equilibrium of the heart workshop and set all my dreams of being ‘initiated’ aside.

Moving Energy
by Susanne Travis

Writing this has left me vulnerable, as putting myself in this place in order to write this and realise these things tends to do.

More and more recently, it has become a delicate balance between my everyday practical world where my link to source becomes hidden from me and can appear buried, with opening myself up, feeling and ‘living’ everything around me.

With the vulnerability, comes fear, which slams the ‘doors’ shut anyway.

"...EVERYTHING IS ALREADY INSIDE, THE JOURNEY IS LISTEN TO OURSELF..."
by Sara Bindi

I wanna share the beautiful and precious gift I had during the workshops "DanSing" and "Live Wave" in Padova, Italy.

I loved the deep and soft work we did moving and jump from the micro, the medium and the macro vibration we have inside (it seem to me to really move in different dimensions and this dancin aware of this changing gave a new deeper felling to my movement) and was so special dance the chaos with a not loud music...without brutalize ourself with a music that sometimes doesn't help our soul to open but rather than close our cells...
