Symposium

By Susannah
Dear dancer, I’m writing to alert you to an extra-ordinary Movement Medicine event about to happen in Copenhagen- 18-20 May at the beautiful Gotvedskolen studio. The event is called “Dancing with the Heart of the World” and is our integration of the Pachamama “Awakening the Dreamer” Symposium with Movement Medicine.

Maybe you don’t know about the Pachamama “Awakening the Dreamer” Symposium. It is a far-reaching, exciting, challenging, awakening and profound wake up call. It is by far the most meaningful and intelligent approach to the challenges and opportunities of our times that I have come across. By intelligent, I mean spiritually, emotionally, scientifically and philosophically. http://schoolofmovementmedicine.com/workshoppdfs/Heart-of-world-Copenhagen-12.pdf

The Symposium is presented through powerful cinema footage interwoven with participatory work. Ya’Acov and I have developed a way of working with this material, combining it with deep Movement Medicine dance practice which we find to be truly potent, empowering and unique. This is the “Dancing with the Heart of the World” workshop.

For us the Symposium has catalysed a new level of “waking up” to the joyous possibilities and responsibility of being alive at this time. Many of the profound and beautiful insights of the Symposium have become an integral part of Movement Medicine (its an integral part of our Apprenticeship Programme) and of our lives.

These “Dancing with the Heart of the World” events do not happen often, and they are a special moment in our calendar. I encourage you with all my heart to come you and join us.  If you’re already signed up, congratulations and warmly welcome! If you have not yet decided, a warm welcome to you too!
