The First DBA in Marketing now available from Management Development Centre working with University College Dublin.

Complete your Doctorate within 3 years
The taught part of the programme is 9 residential weekends at the CIM headquarters near Maidenhead and a central Dublin location.
Enrol now for October 2004.
We are recruiting now for the Autumn 05 cohort of students. The fact that you will work in a dynamic set of around 15 marketing professionals helps you bridge the gap between masters level work and a Doctoral research degree.
Taught modules at Moor Hall
The taught modules are conducted at CIM headquarters at Moor Hall in Cookham and in Dublin, which offer splendid accommodation, training facilities and catering.
Handy for international students
Moor Hall is only 30 minutes by taxi from Heathrow and 20 minutes from Dublin airport, so you can fly in for the weekends from most parts of Europe and Scandinavia. Current MSc cohorts include students from Sri Lanka, Australia, and several who fly in from Hong Kong! And the University recognises most overseas MBA qualifications for entry on to the Doctoral programmes.
Structure
A DBA is deigned to allow bust executives to complete Doctoral level work while remaining in their careers. Call is for a copy of an excellent article that describes the difference between a DBA and the more traditional PhD.
The programme concentrates upon research modules and cutting edge marketing modules led by world-renowned marketing authors and researchers. Action research is emphasised during the thesis phase and it is anticipated that work produced will be of a quality to be published in a refereed journal.
Some of the best marketing academics
MDC’s Chairman, Professor Geoff Lancaster has pulled together a team of some of Europe’s leading marketing academics to contribute to these programmes. This visiting faculty complements the University’s own group of marketing specialists.
Fees
The whole programme costs a little over £7,000 plus VAT per year. That’s about what you might pay for a top MBA – but at the end of the DBA you can use the title Doctor. The fee includes all the books, and notes that you will need for the taught part of the programme, and access to MDC’s WWW marketing forum for interchanging ideas and assignments with tutors and fellow students. Accommodation at Moor Hall is at special members rates.
Payoff for your organisation.
Already many students are finding that there are major payoffs for their organisations. The level of detail in the dissertation combined with the academic rigour which a Doctorial degree demands, mean that the value of your dissertation can be equivalent to that of a leading consultancy commission.
